The main reason why I’m even able to create the blog is because fighting games have similarities between them. Being good at one fighting game won’t necessarily mean you’ll be good at another, but it can certainly help. Having an understanding of the genre as a whole makes it so much easier to pick up any other game.
One of the biggest current example is Dominique “SonicFox” McLean, who has won EVO tournaments for Injustice, Mortal Kombat, Skullgirls, and Dragon Ball Fighter Z. Not only this, but he’s also done well in Under Night In Birth, Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite, and Soul Calibur VI
